Dear students,

We are glad to let you know that we have teamed up with the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and created the Mass Open Online Courses (MOOC) version of the two compulsory IT Workshops - (i) Internet Security; and (ii) Computer Ethics & Copyright.  From 21st September 2018, you can either attend the compulsory IT Workshops physically or attend them through MOOC to fulfill the IT proficiency requirements for graduation of degree students.

If you decide to attend the two workshops on MOOC, please notice the followings,
1. You MUST use your HSMC account to register and enroll the workshops, otherwise your attendance will not be recorded.
2. You MUST finish the exercise at the end of the workshops, otherwise you are not regarded as completing the workshops.
3. ECA hours will NOT be issued to students who complete the compulsory IT workshops on MOOC.

The registration instructions are provided here.  For details of the two learning alternatives, please refer to the home page of IT Learning Centre.

Should you have any questions on the IT Workshops and IT Proficiency Test, don't hesitate to call us at ext 015 or email to
